Sean Paul to marry Jamaican media personality later this month

It's official. Internationally acclaimed Dancehall superstar,Sean Paul will finally tie the knot to his girlfriend and prominent Jamaican media personality, Jodi 'Jinx' Stewart.
According to a report in Friday's edition of the Jamaica Gleaner, the Grammy-winning artiste will marry the long time Reggae Entertainment Television (RETV) host in a private ceremony later this month. According to the Gleaner, preparations for the wedding are being kept on such a low key basis to the point that NBC's Today show was warned not to air details of the planned nuptials.
Keeping with that theme, those invited to the wedding don't even know the exact location of the wedding and a shuttle will be used to carry persons to and from the unnamed venue.
Rumors of a marriage between Sean Paul and Stewart were ignited at the start of 2012 when reports emerged that the Never Gonna Be The Samesinger proposed to his girlfriend during last holiday season.

Elephant Man Back On Top With Si Dung Pon It ft Lady Saw

Dancehall recording artiste Elephant Man and the Queen of Dancehall Lady Saw's Si Dung Pon It is definitely one of the songs to watch for this Summer. The single will surely be a winner among the authentic dancehall lovers especially with the help of the classy High Definition video.
The racy song, which is an update of the Lady Saw-Spragga Benzcollaboration Backshot on theSuperstar Riddim of the late 1990s, has been getting a lot of airplay on radio and at the various street dances in the Kingston Metropolitan area. The song is co-produced by Very Huge Production and Q45 Productions.
The song is the most popular of a handful of releases from the self-styled'Energy Gadd'. His current singles include Shambala, Clean and Bad Mind.
"Mi ah go all-out right now, the business is wide open right now and the people ah feel Elephant Man energy," the chatty entertainer said.
Elephant Man, who has hit the Billboard charts with songs like Pon Di River Pon Di Bank, Signal the Plane, Jook Gal, and Wine Up with Kat Deluna, has reconciled with his former manager Rupert ‘Q45’ Blake.

ZIMBABWE - Emmnauel Makandiwa`s wife Ruth gets a top range Mercedes Benz S500 Brabus

Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa was presented with the Mercedes Benz S500 Brabus by Mrs Kufa on behalf of UFIC women who contributed cash to send her into delirium just days before Mothers Day.
A brand new Mercedes Benz on average, costs between $150 000 and $220 000 — depending with the taste.
Ruth Makandiwa was presented with the gift before coming to the City Sports Centre — the home of UFIC — where she was scheduled for a meeting.

The swanky car jolted her and she shed tears when giving an emotional speech to thank the ladies who combined with the girls from the youth wing to honour her.
“Words cannot express how I feel. If there is any other word that I can use other than thank you, I would use it. What I feel is so much more than that,” she said.

Ruth Makandiwa also encouraged women to honour their parents as well as their in-laws. UFIC women have been encouraged to surprise their mothers as well as their mother in-laws by doing something good for them on this year’s Mothers Day.
In reciprocation, Ruth Makandiwa paid tribute to all UFIC pastors’ wives by giving them gifts as well as 160 women who were over 60 years old, with the majority being widows. She presented them with a blanket each and a bag of maize.
The prophetess did not end there. She also gave gifts to her own mother, Gogo Makawa and her mother in-law, Gogo Makandiwa as well as Gogo Musoni, her husband’s grandmother.
Prophetess Makandiwa together with her husband lead one of the fastest growing churches in Zimbabwe.
Thousands of people throng the City Sports Centre to hear the word of God

Ruth Makandiwa spearheads the charity department which has impacted positively on the lives of the needy.
Her work extends to thousands of children in her compassion ministry as well as others from orphanages, children’s homes and other churches.
In 2010, she initiated a project which saw Chitungwiza General Hospital which was in shambles get a face-lift. Washing machines were repaired and blankets, pillows, food and sheets were donated to the hospital.
Gospel icons like Joyce Simeti, Mrs Chinembiri, Mrs Utete and others kept people on their feet by their sterling performances.
Simeti dedicated her single Rudo Rwenyu Mama in which she showed appreciation to Ruth Makandiwa’s deeds.

Zuma’s son sued for R1.5m wedding debt

President Jacob Zuma’s son Edward is being sued for R1.5 million for allegedly failing to pay a Durban wedding co-ordinating company which planned his lavish nuptials at Tala Game Reserve last year.
Edward Zuma married Phumelele Shange in October and their wedding reception for 500 guests was held at the Tala Game Reserve near Camperdown.
The wedding and reception, which was featured on television lifestyle show Top Billing, was attended by the president, his wives as well as Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula, suspended national police commissioner Bheki Cele, singer Yvonne Chaka-Chaka and businessman Kenny Kunene among others.
According to a report on the wedding, the ceremony was held in a villa which was decorated in white, with shades of green.
The reception was held in a huge marquee, which was draped in white and shades of pink and large chandeliers and bouquets hung from the roof. Every table had a bottle of Jameson Irish whiskey and Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky, and Allée Bleue red wine.
On Monday an application brought against Zuma by the Glenwood-based company, Functions for Africa CC, came before Durban High Court Judge Kevin Swain.
There was no appearance by Zuma or his legal representatives in court. The court ordered that the case be adjourned to later this month and Zuma was to pay the costs of the adjournment.
According to court papers, the company is demanding payment of just over R1.5m, plus interest of 15.5 percent a year from the date of demand in November and the costs of the application.
Functions for Africa sole member Paul Mann said in an affidavit that Edward Zuma and his wife had approached him to “arrange and facilitate their wedding”.
Mann had sent a quotation of R2.7m for his company’s services in April last year to the couple. The figure was reduced to R2.5m and Zuma agreed to the terms and conditions in July.
Mann said his company normally asked for 80 percent of the amount as a deposit, but Zuma had only paid R1m. “Unfortunately and up to the date of the wedding, the respondent had not paid the full 80 percent deposit.”
He said that, despite not having the full deposit, he went ahead with the wedding because he was asked not to embarrass the couple.
“Due to the incessant pleading we went on with the wedding. His bride pleaded with me to continue with the wedding so as to not embarrass or inconvenience them.”
He said Zuma sent SMSes to him before the wedding in which he promised to pay, but he stopped taking calls or answering SMSes after the wedding.
An SMS sent by Zuma in September last year, the contents of which was annexed to the court papers, said “Brother Paul plis (sic) call all suppliers for me to address them at your offices as I have a delay in foreign funds. I know the stress I have injected (sic) in you is uncalled for but I am trying to do all on my own…”
A second SMS sent to Mann on October 6, a day before the wedding, states, “They have agreed to release today I am negotiating that they do it now.”
Mann said when he received no payment after the wedding, his attorney, David Vlcek, issued a letter of demand in November last year and Zuma’s attorneys SP Mncwango and Associates responded in December acknowledging the outstanding amount.
Mann also received another SMS from Zuma which said, “I don’t deny owing money, but it’s a matter of when to pay…”
The letter from Zuma’s attorney states: “Our client does not dispute that he owes an amount of R1.5m. He, therefore, instructed us to re-negotiate the terms of payment. Kindly give him until the end of January 2012. Our client will settle in full.”
Mann said he acceded to Zuma’s request and his attorney sent a letter confirming that payment should be made by midnight on January 31.
He said his company was now under severe financial pressure.
“There are demands being made by suppliers which have arisen from the respondent’s shocking conduct.”
When contacted for comment on Monday, Zuma asked who had given his cellphone number to the reporter from The Mercury and ended the call.
He also did not respond to a request for comment sent via SMS.
Zuma’s attorney, SP Mncwango, said he did not want to comment on the matter.
It has also been reported recently that Zuma is a silent partner in a business owned by bribery and fraud-accused Thoshan Panday.
KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Major-General Johan Booysen reportedly told the Sunday Tribune in March this year that Zuma had met him to persuade him to get R15m allegedly owed to Panday by the police released. The funds were frozen because Panday was being investigated for a R60m police tender accommodation scam.
Zuma denied that he had asked for the money to be released and said he had merely asked Booysen if Panday was being investigated as he wanted to invest in his (Panday’s) business.

Rihanna claims she can turn a straight woman bisexual.

Rihanna claims she can turn a straight woman bisexual.

The 'Good Girl Gone Bad' singer made the boastful claim on twitter on Sunday night.

She wrote: "Guarantee to turn a square into a Bi bitch!!!"

The public message was thought to be in reference to an E-40 song titled 'Function', which features the lyric "Guarantee turn a square to a bop bitch".

The 24-year-old performer has been making headlines for a number of controversial reasons recently.

She posted a picture last week, showing herself tucking cash into a bent over stripper's underwear while gripping a drink between her teeth.

She is also reported to have angered 'Saturday Night Live' producers this weekend when she failed to show up to a final dress rehearsal.

Rihanna allegedly sent her choreographer instead, claiming that she was too ill to attend.

The show's employees were reportedly angered as she did not seem ill enough to have missed the dress rehearsal when she was spotted walking around the studio in between performances on the night.

A representative insisted that she was sick, telling TMZ: "Rihanna was sick and needed to save her voice for the live show."

Arnie signs up for elaborate crime thriller

Arnold Schwarzenegger is to star in 'Ten'.

The 'Terminator' actor is "really excited" about the movie, which will be directed by David Ayer and centres on an elite drug enforcement agency (DEA) task force which deals with the world's deadliest cartels.

An apparently-typical raid turns out to be an elaborate theft operation the squad had planned. After escaping with millions in stolen cash, the team believe their secret is safe - but one by one, they are assassinated.

Arnold said: "I am really excited about this project and the team that's come together.

"David Ayer is incredibly talented and exactly what I want for a story this compelling."

'Ten' has been penned by 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' writer Skip Woods, while Bill Block, Paul Hanson, Joe Roth, Palak Patel and Al Ruddy will serve as producers. Alex Ott of Crave Films is executive producer.

The movie is the latest in a string of projects for Arnold since his term as Governor of California came to an end last year.

He is currently filming 'The Tomb' but can next be seen on screen in blockbuster sequel 'The Expendables 2', which is due for release in August.

He also stars in 'The Last Stand', which will be released in January.

Kim K's ex 'wants ring back'

Kris Humphries wants Kim Kardashian to give her engagement ring back.

The 27-year-old sports star - who was married to Kim for 72 days last year - cannot "fathom" why she would want to keep hold of the 20 carat diamond jewellery and is keen to have it returned to him.

A source told RadarOnline.com: "Kris wants the ring back because the marriage only lasted 72 days and he believes it was based on fraud and deceit.

"Remember, Kim filed for divorce. Kris paid for that ring, and he just can't fathom why Kim would want to keep it. It's not like she is ever going to wear it again.

"Kris realises that with Kim it's all about material objects and she truly treasures things over people in her life."

Kris also wants their divorce proceedings to be filmed, but Kim is said to be against the move.

Among the items his legal team want to discuss is a $325,000 white Ferrari gifted to the couple by a Malaysian businessman.

A source previously said: "Kris wants a divorce trial so that the truth can finally come out. Amongst other matters, he wants to know about the Ferrari that the couple got from a very wealthy Malaysian businessman that attended the wedding.

"Kris was at Kim's house when the car was delivered - it was given to both of them, but Kim has kept sole ownership and has used it extensively. She will be asked about it, under oath, on the stand at the trial."

ROKI HEADS FOR BIG BROTHER HOUSE

Urban Grooves Bad Boy Roki is one of seven celebrity housemates from around the continent who will enter the Big Brother Africa House when the seventh season of the popular reality show, themed ‘StarGame’, starts on Sunday May 6, 2012.

This news was revealed today, Thursday May 3, just 24 hours after images of the newly designed house were released.
The talented Roki (27), who has been dogged with many problems in his personal and professional life gave a rousing performance at the recent Miss Zimbabwe 2012 Pageant, accompanied by on-and-off girlfriend-cum-wife (no one is sure anymore), Pauline Gundidza. These have included arrest for possession of splif, fathering up to four children with four different mothers, being dumped several times by Pauline for allegedly physically abusing her and failure to turn up on time for gigs, among others.
The Zimbabwean musician will be joined in the house by Ghana’s stylish entertainer, stand-up comedian and television pro, DKB (26), Kenyan rap star, Prezzo (32), award-winning Namibian female singer, Lady May (25), pop music sensation Goldie (28) from Nigeria, famed South African socialite, model and businesswoman Barbz from South Africa (34) and successful Zambian R&B diva,  Mampi (25).
For now, the names and ages of the celebrities is all that Big Brother has revealed. How they will play the game or fit into the doubles theme, still remains to be seen.
Commenting on the series, M-Net Africa Managing Director, Biola Alabi, said she was pleased with the response it was getting; “It’s super to see the high level of interaction StarGame is getting from fans, media and viewers. The guessing around who the housemates will be; people trying to work out what Biggie is planning; the rumours and the speculation; it all adds to the excitement. It’s great for the show to get this type of support from the Big Brother community who really do engage with it, even before it starts on air. I want to thank them and promise that we’re working hard to deliver a great series.

2FACE – AWAY AND BEYOND [ALBUM REVIEW]

2face’s fifth album Away and Beyond is a five-star display from the Field Marshall of Nigerian music.
At this point we are no longer surprised that 2face can deliver, rather we are in awe of this juggernaut who for over a decade has continued to dictate the direction of contemporary music in Nigeria.
At his concert in Eko Hotel and Suites on Monday April 30, Innocent Idibia declared that his new album is for matured minds. After proving his mettle countless times, 2face takes his music to a higher clime while his contemporaries and the new kids on the block are still stuck in the muddy pits of today’s pop culture.
Away and Beyond is 2face’s most soulful album yet.  It doesn’t play to the gallery. The soul in this album ensures it is tight and concise despite being 15 tracks deep.
2face is really a reggae artiste draped in R&B/Pop cloaks so it is no wonder the setstarts with Higher (Spiritual Healing) featuring Huma Lara. ‘Now I see…higher than the height of the mountain/deeper than…deeper than the depth of the ocean/further than…further than the eyes can see’, sings 2face on the hook of the song revealing his ever growing musical maturity. The piercing Indian sample on this song shakes your soul and sets you in the mood for the journey ahead.
On his last album he saw rain drops as they fell from the sky. Resigned to fate, 2face doesn’t fight the rain drops on Dance in the Rain. Instead he embraces them as he sings ‘I’m just going to relax and enjoy my life, try to live it, try to appreciate it’.
When the rain is over, he sees the band of colours on My Rainbow. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that this song is dedicated to Annie Macaulay (arguably the most famous fiancĂ©e in Nigeria now). Notorious for his ways with women, this track sees 2face leaving his childish ways behind and becoming a man.
Now that 2face has embraced monogamy, there will be distractions from third parties who will want to split the couple. The singer treats this topic on the Drake-esque Bother You featuring the rejuvenated and impressive Terry Tha Rapman.
In Your Eyes which starts with a moody piano intro sees the bad sharp guy singing about deception, crooked politicians, unity and one love.
As an international act, 2face tries his hands on the Euro-pop craze. While Steady Steady gets the job done; Dance Floor hits the spot and once again shows 2face’s versatility. He switches it to dancehall on Spell Bound which should get the clubs rocking.
Away and Beyond has songs for the party freaks too. Keep On Pushing (which still has a clear message) and Ihe Neme (tinged with his Idoma dialect) are certified party cuts. Bad man, Bad Girl featuring Becca has the makings of a sub-regional hit song. Chemical Reaction featuring Naeto C should generate the desired reaction from people on the dance floor.
Unfortunately Omo No Dulling (featuring HyperTek artistes Dammy Krane and Rock Steady) is a case of too many cooks spoil the broth.
However, this small misstep doesn’t rob the LP of its greatness.
On Away and Beyond 2face doesn’t follow the crowd, he creates a new path. Even on the corny titled. Omo T’osan, the Captain steers his ship of female adulation to different waters.
Away and Beyond is devoid of the nauseating theatrics killing pop music in Nigeria.
Matured, calm and layered with emotion, lyrics and well-thought concepts, Away and Beyond is another great album in 2face’s sparkling discography.
