The life and times of the Notorious B.I.G. was revisited in Wednesday evening’s (May 2) episode of “Behind The Music” on VH1. The special follows the rapper’s life, 15 years after his tragic slaying in their long-running docu-music series.
Biggie’s episode looks back at his mysterious death in Los Angeles, and his life and career leading up to that unfortunate evening. Although the clip begins with a focus on the late rapper’s death, interviewing retired LAPD detective Greg Kading who points to former hip-hop mogul Suge Knight for putting the hit on Biggie, VH1 takes viewers all the way back to the beginning when he was born, to his childhood years, and how his journey in the Brooklyn streets led to a career in hip-hop.
The episode includes commentary from his mother Voletta, Diddy, Faith Evans, industry peers, and more.
