Vybz Kartel's Benz and other assets returned by cops

Several assets belonging to prominent Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, more popularly known asVybz Kartel have been returned after being held by law enforcement officials in recent months.

Last year, several media outlets reported that the prominent deejay's S-Class Mercedes Benz, as well as documentation pertaining to properties that he owns were seized followingKartel's arrest in September and subsequent murder charges. The seized assets were reportedly being stored at the Police Commissioner's office in St Andrew.

However, it's now being confirmed that Kartel's Benz, as well as his passport, laptop, amongst other assets have been released to thePortmore Empire leader's family. Reportedly, they were released as early as last month.

Vybz Kartel remains in jail despite copping JA$40,000 bail on a drug charge as well as JA$3 million in the Barrington 'Bossie' Burton murder case. Kartel stand accused of murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm in that matter.

However, the 'Gaza' deejay cannot post either bail given murder and obstruction of justice related charges he faces in the Clive 'Lizard' Williams murder case. Those charges stem from an alleged incident last August in Havendale, St. Andrew. 

Kartel will return to court on April 13.
