Zimbabwe’s award-winning Pop duo BKay and Kazz, and the celebrated Zambian super star JK will this weekend (27 April 2012) seek to bridge the Zambezi river when they meet in London for a show dubbed ZimZam show.
JK touched down in London last week and has been preparing for Friday’s show at London’s Oasis Banqueting hall, Barking. He will link up BKay and Kazz who are based in Milton Keynes, over a two-legged tour that will also take them to Birmingham.
Kazz said: “We are excited about sharing the stage with JK and this will undoubtedly be our first big show this side of 2012. Culturally and artistically, we share a lot with JK. Zambia is only a river accross from Zimbabwe’s so with this show we want to bridge the Zambezi gap that separates us geographically; and make one heck of a party.
“We have some new material to perform and we’ve got some new artists coming out of our Boomslang stable who will definitely bring something new for our fans,” he added.
With six albums under his belt, JK a.k.a Jordan Katembula, will be performing in the UK for the first time in five years.
